About the Job

Our client has a requirement for QA Analyst for a 3 month contract opportunity. The position is located in Mississauga, ON.

Role

QA team is looking for an experienced QA Analyst to join OSO (Online Sales and On-boarding) team to expand the current Client application to the next level.

Responsibilities

• Analyze the Business and Technical requirements from the functional analysis point of view
• Diagnose the gap between the requirements with the current application and discuss with the PM/BA/Development team.
• Compose the strategy and plan documents and the execution reports.
• Prepare test cases
• Attend the various calls/meetings within and outside of the department and represent the QA team for the subjects.
• Log defects in QC in accurate manner.
• Support functions in a project capacity, providing necessary technical information as required
• Coordinate the resolution activities across team/ stakeholders.
• Provide technical input during triage calls.
• Perform appropriate escalation during any foreseen risk in a project.
• Deliver and maintain accurate documentation.
• Provide after hours (including weekends) support on a required basis.

Qualifications

• Experience with device testing with PRPC (PEGA) based application.
• Proficiency in Hand-held device testing knowledge.
• Testing background with Webservices
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Quality Center.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skill.
• Able and comfortable presenting findings, summaries and recommendations in a coherent and comprehensive format.
• A solid team player and comfortable taking constructive criticism.
• Strong analytical skills

 

Nice To Have

• Extensive knowledge with the service validation and debugging tools such as: Fiddler, SOAP UI, Tracer, Clipboard and PAL.
• Sounds knowledge of working with databases like DB2, SQL server, IMS DB and Oracle.
• Banking background & strong testing experience with banking applications
