About the Job

Our client has a requirement for a Methodology Specialist for an 8 months Contract opportunity. The position is located in Toronto, ON.

Role

To provide expert level methodology experience on application portfolio management concepts with real outcomes and implementation scenarios. Such expertise is expected to bring best industry practices and latest technology improvements to our environment in order to achieve cost centric end state solutions where “state of the art” methodologies /concepts are introduced to efficiently manage cluster application assets with an end-to-end vision included government standards are followed and technology BI services provide value to the organization.

 

Responsibilities:

• Engaging /partnering with essential key players across the Client to gain momentum and introduce new concepts /methodologies to application management areas including infrastructure groups
• Full understanding of platform data source technologies in order to correctly interpret ETLs, metadata, database components and data mapping methodologies for realistic outcomes
• Re-architecting of application management fundamentals in order to achieve end-to-end applications portfolio mapping view for business outcomes
• Successful negotiating and aligning with corporate bodies as well as other participating clusters to design and introduce common methodologies and frameworks on application portfolio management concepts
• Preparing necessary data relation formats and business logics to support delivery of desired reporting functions
• Working closely with business support areas and partners to incorporate financial requirements of “to be introduced” new methodologies into the application portfolio management practices
• Working closely with BI group to assure presentation layer integrity of architecture application management functions /reports
• Designing governance models, roles and responsibilities along with operational activities for integrated portfolio model
• Preparing educational sessions for training in large quantities
• Working with ITS data centre areas to plan and prepare for application hosting environment migration activities based on achieved milestones
• Leading the key liaison role for data centre migration activities form the cluster’s side providing periodic updates to stakeholders and senior management
• Designing reports for SharePoint environment and apply latest publishing techniques for best visual reporting outcome
• Designing report KPIs, metrics, audit, alert and other monitoring requirements to meet business criteria
• Focusing on technology transfer and support training as a part of this service offering
• Experience Re-architecting of application management fundamentals in order to achieve end-to-end applications portfolio mapping view for business outcomes
• Experience preparing necessary data relation formats and business logics to support delivery of desired reporting functions
• Experience with working closely with business support areas and partners to incorporate financial requirements of “to be introduced” new methodologies into the application portfolio management practices
• Experience designing report KPIs, metrics, audit, alert and other monitoring requirements to meet business criteria
• Knowledge of methodologies, processes and standards
• Expert level knowledge of most concepts defined in earlier sections, industry standards, best practices and other relevant concepts applied to application portfolio management
• Experience with Application Services Library v2 – Implementation with a focus on configuration management for application management
