Our client has a requirement for a Technical Operations Manager (TOM) for a 3 Month Contract opportunity.  The position is located in Toronto, ON.

Role

Our client is looking for a highly-motivated Technical Operations Manager (TOM) who would like to be an active contributor to the continued evolution a world-class service organization. In addition to managing the technical operations components of all digital advertising campaigns across the company’s portfolio of digital solutions (online, mobile, gaming, etc.), they will leverage their project management skills by leading critical business initiatives and projects. As a TOM, this individual will also work closely with cross-functional teams to solve client problems, assist in the presales process, improve processes, and influence advertiser satisfaction. Finally, the TOM will be joining an industry-leading team focused on achieving impressive results and working together to drive value for their clients.

Responsibilities
  • Accountable for the flawless launch of advertising campaigns on the company’s digital properties
  • Interface directly with strategic clients to plan, receive, test, and implement creative assets
  • Be the local resource for emerging media ad solutions
  • Build sales ready creative execution mock ups
  • Standard Flash creative trouble-shooting
  • Assist in custom tracking enquiries
  • Assist in site level integrations
  • Escalation point to provide solutions for complex technical issues
  • Participate and/or support presales and planning and execution of complex creative solutions
  • Project manage strategic initiatives either individually or by leading a cross-functional team to deliver high-impact business results
  • Investigate and resolve delivery/performance issues and advise management and account team partners as to revenue risk
  • Drive resolution of escalated client technical issues
  • Ensure quality by enforcing standard policies and procedures
  • Review contracts for Sarbanes-Oxley compliance ensuring the existence of appropriate controls
  • Review and provide feedback on new processes, product, and tool releases that will improve operational efficiencies
  • Collaborate on the delivery of technology and service solutions that meet customer needs and represent incremental revenue opportunities
  • Handle changing priorities and other duties as assigned

Requirements or Qualifications

Qualified Candidates will have:
  • 3+ years working in a service organization required
  • 1+ years project management experience required
  • Prior online advertising experience strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated knowledge of MS Office, MS Project, and HTML required
  • Working knowledge of online advertising technologies required:
    • Flash
    • JavaScript
    • DHTML
    • Streaming Video
    • Rich Media
    • Use of variety of operating systems and browsers (Mac OS, Firefox, Chrome, IE6, 7, 8) for creative testing
    • Knowledge of online ad products – DART, Atlas, DoubleClick
    • Interactive Skinning products
    • Technical knowledge of Ad Serving technology
    • Knowledge of IAB Creative policies
    • Familiarity with online advertising products required (Eyeblaster, Motif, Pointroll, etc.)
    • Effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills; Ability to present complex subjects to diverse audiences in understandable terms
    • Demonstrated ability to leverage a deep understanding of the online media space to successfully develop and grow major account relationships
    • Demonstrated ability to use analytical and troubleshooting skills and strategic abilities to resolve complex technical issues
    • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal business and account team partners
    • Ability to perform in a fast-paced work environment
    • Adept at creating practical solutions for daily business challenges
    • Ability to work independently and balance multiple projects and processes simultaneously
    • Demonstrated ability to understand and provide creative solutions to customer needs
    • High attention to details and follow through
    • Passion for digital advertising, customer service, teamwork, and business result
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience required
