Our client has a requirement for a Android Mobile Developer for  a 2 month contract opportunity.  The position is located in Toronto.

 Role

An experienced mobile developer to build mobile applications in HTML 5 Responsible for the analysis, design, development and implementation of mobile applications that meet quality management and development standards and also provides system and technical analysis and solution recommendations/work effort estimation for project development deliverables.

Responsibilities

1. Gather business and technical requirements by attending planning, requirements, solution design workshops
2. Prepare Detailed Design Specification
3. Prototypes, design, develop, test and implement mobile applications that will provide productivity to the employees.
4. Conduct and attend technical and detailed design walkthroughs and code reviews
5. Support all testing, create code drop release notes
6. Attend defect meetings
7. Resolve development related issues/defects
8. Participate in implementation and post-implementation support
9. Day to day management of the specified project deliverables and ensure on-time delivery as per the project plan.
10. Actively ensure knowledge transfer through partnership with the company’s Application Development Team.

Skills and Qualifications

1. Solid and in-depth knowledge and experience in Android application design and development.
2. User interface design and development experience
3. Proficient in Android mobile device development
4. Knowledge and experience in Java, Android SDK, HTML, XML, ASP.NET, UI Design, CSS, XSLT, JavaScript, C#, PHP
5. Excellent knowledge in understanding of business requirements, systems analysis, construction, integration, and migration functions.
6. Strong knowledge and experience in developing, customizing and implementing software solutions.
7. Excellent analytical, problem solving, communication, presentation and writing skills
8. Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks, work under pressure and deliver under tight timeline.
9. Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
10. Knowledge and experience in web usability, accessibility standards and data modeling.
11. Understanding of Agile methodology
