Job Description

Our client has a requirement for an IT Analyst for a 6 month contract opportunity.  The position is located in Toronto.

They are looking for a results oriented individual that works efficiently under minimal supervision.

The candidate should have the ability to work on and prioritize multiple business critical projects and initiatives.

Requirements or Qualifications

• Strong SQL skills, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills are imperative.
• Experience in all areas of SDLC is required (requirements gathering / documentation, design, development, various testing cycles, deployment, and support / warranty of the solutions.
• Preference given to candidates with data warehouse experience.
• Design and document database architecture using SQL Server 2008 and related DBMS tools.
• Analyze, consolidate, and tune databases for optimal efficiency.
• Design & Maintain Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence solutions.
• Create shell scripts, using RedHat Linux, and Powershell to automate tasks.
• Implement and manage database security and permissions.
• Act as the technical lead in all initiatives that are related to the integration or transmission of data into and out of TDFS systems.
