Job Description

Our Federal Government client is looking for a Senior Records Management Specialist to provide advice and guidance in the field of records and information management relating to their project. This is a year-long contract opportunity located in Ottawa.  The ideal candidate will be able to develop a strategy for managing all Records in compliance with current Treasury Board Directives on Records keeping and related polices, directives and guidelines.

Qualified Candidates will have
  • Over 10 years experience as Business Consultant in the field of Information/Records Management
  • MUST be Bilingual in English and French
  • Hold a valid Enhanced Reliability Security clearance or higher
  • Experience in the last 4 years providing advice and guidance in the field of Recordkeeping as it relates to the implementation of Recordkeeping policy, regulations and legal requirements
  • Experience in the last 4 years providing advice and guidance in the field of Recordkeeping as it relates to Capacity Building, Legacy Records Management and e-records sustainability
  • Experience in a Records Information Management role within Canadian Federal Government
  • Over 4 years recent experience identifying and analyzing information and records management issues and providing recommendations to management for improvement
  • Experience providing guidance and training in the delivery of records management functions in compliance with Treasury Board policies and directives
  • Experience in providing assistance in the development of internal service delivery methods (tracking or reporting tools) for record keeping and information management and, monitoring the implementation for consistency while maintaining data base integrity
