Job Description:

Our client has a requirement for QA Lead L2 for a 6 months Contract opportunity. The positions are located in Toronto, Ontario

The services and deliverables to be provided will include the following:


Deliverables

•QA Lead will oversee release efforts with the IAR QA Team and Development Teams and determine package and release contents throughout the project delivery lifecycle
•Testing and quality accountability for IAR releases
•Lead and manage the IAR QA team of testers in messaging applications, components, interface transformations as well as business applications during developing and all subsequent phases of software development and configuration
•Establish centralized and consolidated issue management and quality tracking reports
•Analyze software requirements and provide feedback.
•Develop and document comprehensive test and implementation plans
•Set and execute test schedules and communicate schedules to stakeholders
•Create plans and approaches to continuous improvement of the quality assurance frameworks, including regular checkpoints of automated test tools, functional test tools and reporting on defect tracking tools
•Build, configure and execute automated testing and automated regression testing
•Evaluate and report on the quality of software products and make recommendations for deployment
•Support testers by reviewing work and providing feedback
•Create testing and quality criteria to sign-off releases and changes and promotions to subsequent environments.


Qualifications - Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

•Minimum of five years experience in successfully leading QA teams in a multi-project environment
•Experience with Orion products – Rhapsody and Concerto specifically.
•Demonstrated ability to work with senior leaders including managing expectations, delivering results under pressure, managing conflicting requirements and gaining buy-in on QA initiatives.
•Experience in planning, organizing and implementing QA protocols
•Knowledge of structured QA methodologies for the development, design, implementation and maintenance of applications.
•Experience with change manage and ticketing systems, specifically Jira and MKS
•Knowledge and experience in the use of automated test tools including QTP
•Knowledge and experience in all phases of the Systems Development Life Cycle
•Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills; organizational, creativity and perseverance skills; verbal and written communication skills; and interpersonal skills.
•Experience working with outsourced development organizations


Nice to have

•Experience with scripting and running test sequences using automated testing tools (e.g. Rational Functional Tester, Winrunner, Quick Test Pro, etc.)
•Health care experience
•Familiarity with (RAI MH, OCAN, interRAI CA, RAI HC, ADAT, RAI MDS 2.0 etc…)
