Our client has a requirement for Business Development Executive (Healthcare Sector) for a Permanent Full time opportunity. The positions are located in Markham, Ontario

Business Development Executive (Healthcare Sector)

For this permanent role, Client requires an experienced sales person for the Healthcare vertical industry to develop new IT consulting business opportunities. This role will require someone who understands the nuances of large healthcare accounts in developing incremental sales with a consultative approach.

The ideal candidate will work primarily in the GTA but will be asked to visit other client sites within Ontario. Working with cross-functional teams, the Business Development representative in healthcare will develop prospective new clients and existing clients to foster strong relationships.


Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Sales / Contract Management

• Identify, qualify and close sales pursuits within targeted accounts
• Understand client’s business strategy and the related I&IT Strategy and translate it to business solutions.
• Understand strategic direction for the Client Public Sector vertical and develop integrated pursuit plans to fulfill the direction.
• Develop relationships with prospective clients, decision makers and influencers for complex technology services
• Understand and own the sales management process from opportunity identification to contract closing, including: RFx responses, sales presentations, contracting
• Develop contracts and teaming agreements with sub-contracts and clients according to CGI frameworks.


Industry Knowledge

• Understand the strategic direction of of Client’s targeted healthcare clients and develop integrated account plans to fulfill the direction
• Develop a strong knowledge of Industry solutions, as well as an understanding of the full range of CGI services
• Provide market awareness and promotion of Clients’s services within the industry


Service Delivery Coordination

• Provide Client’s delivery teams with insights into client’s needs and desires.
• Understand client business needs and propose solutions for additional business opportunities with clients
• Maintain effective working relationship with all appropriate areas within Client's.
• Co-ordination of seminars, shows, mailings, call campaigns.


Required Work Experience:

• Experience with selling professional services into the Healthcare, including in larger Hospitals, eHealth, LHINs and Ministry of Health
• Should be comfortable with selling $5M+ professional services to clients.
• Experience with identifying and creating solutions for clients
• Functional domain knowledge in one of the following sectors: Continuum of Care, Diagnostic Imaging, Cancer, Disease Mgt


Required Level of Education (include certifications):

• Relevant University or College degree
