Job Description:

Our client has a requirement for multiple Project Managers for a 7 month contract opportunity. The positions are located in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Requirement or Qualifications:

1.Project planning
2.Project control and monitoring
3.Project reporting to senior management
4.Leadership of large divergent teams located in differing geographical areas.
5.Strong written and oral communication
6.Scope management skills to drive the business to an agreement of scope within tight timescale
7.Risk management
8.Issue management


Desirable:

1.Business Process Re-Engineering. Business transformation


Level of Expertise Required:

•Minimum five to eight years' experience managing complex, multi-site projects, plus minimum three years of application development or technology integration experience
•In depth knowledge and experience with project management principles and practices (PMI based)
•Exceptional leadership skills
•Excellent communication, facilitation and decision making skills
•Effective stakeholder management, project plan development and project execution management skills


Key Accountabilities:

You will ensure the effective application of the project management discipline for successful delivery of all application development and/or technology infrastructure projects in an enterprise Information Services environment.

•Project Initiation - working with project sponsors to define project scope, success criteria and objectives
•Planning - Leading the team through the project planning process and establishing processes to support the ongoing management of the project
•Execution – Providing leadership to the project team as they execute the plan while
•monitoring and reporting progress, managing risks, resolving issues and facilitating decision
•making
•Closing – Conducting lessons learned session and disseminating project information required
