Job Description:
Our client has a requirement for Application Developer for a 3 month contract opportunity. The positions is located in Toronto.
Requirement or Qualifications:
Qualified Candidates will have:
Specialist will be required to develop the model and functions of the reporting requirements specific to public access via the web portal. The interface will be user friendly and have reporting "wizard" capabilities and allow the use of mapping.
JOB DUTIES
1. Propose solution(s) for the requirements that will be presented and create detailed system design documents for the proposed solution
2. Conduct presentations and code walkthroughs and participate in project team meetings
3. Conduct unit testing, system integration testing and provide active participation during the QA phase
4. Prepare deployment packages and participate in the deployment process.
DELIVERABLES
1. Detailed design documents describing the solution
2. The WebSphere package(s) required for the final deployment.
The project will develop and implement a system that delivers the following functions and features to address those objectives:
•Develop a web portal to provide information about the program and the bylaw;
•Provide tools to assist facilities in chemical estimation and reporting;
•Develop a method by which facilities can report via the web;
•Publish reports to the general public via the web portal based on data collected;
•Track facility requests and communications; and
•Create a data management system that will enable the program to use the information submitted by facilities for analysis, inspection, and public disclosure.
