Network Management Centre Analyst - VoIP

About the Job:

Our client has a requirement for Network Management Centre Analyst, for a 12 month contract opportunity. The position is located in Calgary.

As a VoIP centric Network Management Centre Analyst, you will be responsible for providing world class telephone-based, technical support. Your primary objectives will be network problem determination and appropriate problem escalation. Your technical skills combined with excellent client and vendor communication skills will lead to customer satisfaction and service level attainment. This position involves 7X24 monitoring of client networks comprised of Avaya or Cisco VoIP infrastructure, from our Global Customer Support Center in Calgary. You will log all VoIP network failures and perform first line fault determination. You will interact with technical support groups, vendors, and the client to manage problems not resolved on first contact.

Responsibilities include logging all calls in the appropriate call logging tool, adhering to strict process and corporate security guidelines, and providing input for on-going productivity improvements.


Requirement or Qualifications:


Qualified Candidates must have:

• Demonstrated VoIP support experience

• Strong aptitude and conceptual knowledge for IT and Network infrastructure

• Understanding of TCP/IP, HTML, LAN/WAN

• Knowledge of Cisco equipment (routers, switches, firewalls) and configurations

• TELNET, SSH, and experience providing Remote Support

• Network monitoring experience

• Network Performance experience

• Trouble shooting and problem determination skills

• Superior communication and customer service skills – Call Centre experience an asset

• Ability to work in high pressure, dynamic environment

• Hard working, self-starter

• Knowledge of MS Office Suites

• Willing to work shifts on a 7/24 schedule (including 12.5 hour shifts)

• College Diploma in IT, Computer Studies or Engineering

• CCNA +Voice certification is required, CCVP preferred

• Avaya certification is desired
