Job Description

One of our financial services hiring managers is looking for Data Warehousing Technical Lead to join his team in Toronto for a 6month contract. Candidate can work out of either London, ON or Downtown Toronto with some travel required to both locations (1 - 2 days a month)

Responsibilities

• Technical leadership and support for the NICE Performance Manager application roll out
• Collaboration with business and technology partners to understand technology needs, document and communicate delivery options and support associated vendor engagements
• Project work estimation or oversight of estimates for on boarding new businesses to the NICE Performance Manager application
• Leadership and coordination with TS partners for project deliveries requiring changes or new infrastructure or related software upgrades
• Collaboration with DCTS architecture in establishing infrastructure architecture requirements, designs, and blueprints
• Collaboration with Infrastructure Architects and other ITS resources (DBA, Middleware, etc.)
• Collaboration with vendors for opportunity analysis, licensing, and issue resolution
• Conduct research, analysis, design, and problem resolution
• Develop, implement, maintain and improve solutions/processes that maximize system availability, effectiveness, and minimize issues.
• Comply with the system development life cycle (SDLC) and project management methodology (PMLC)
• Support Senior IT Manager in developing business cases, project plans, estimating, and managing service level agreements

Qualifications 

• Knowledge of and skill in designing and supporting reporting and analytics
• Knowledge of data and reporting infrastructure architectures and best practice
• Experience with Business Intelligence project deliveries, implementations, and support.
• Expert ability to develop design documentation for end-to-end solutions, with adherence to standards, and attention to project milestones
• Firm grasp of data security concepts and technologies
• Understanding of industry trends in Data Warehousing, BI & ETL and related technologies and strategies
• Highly motivated, creative individual with a track record of success in implementing technical solutions
• Embraces change and the ability to acquire new technical and analytical skills
• Experience with the SDLC and PMLC lifecycles
• Communicating ideas and recommendations to all levels of management
