About the Job

Our client has a requirement for a Senior Infrastructure  Architect for a 6 Month Contract.  The position is located in Mississauga ON.

Role

The role will provide infrastructure architecture leadership and enterprise level consulting to the organization on the development of a quality, integrated and rationalized infrastructure environment across the company. The primary focus will be to work with the Retail  Solution Architects to provide infrastructure solutions for business projects.

Specific knowledge and focus on the Retail systems is preferred for this opportunity. The role will also work with the Integrated Technology Services (ITS) teams in the execution of infrastructure projects initiated within ITS. 

Requirements or Qualifications

• Recent and extended role in Infrastructure Architecture Solutioning in a large Financial organization, 
• Knowledge of concepts and methodologies for designing business applications, with specific focus on high availability, disaster recovery and operability. 
• Thorough knowledge of the organization's IT environment including vendor software and relationships, 
• Specific knowledge in infrastructure technologies/domains. We are particularly interested in skills related to : 
• Websphere Application Server / ESB (WAS/WESB) on AIX and on System Z 
• AIX and IBM P-Series infrastructure 
• Database – Oracle, DB2, MS SQL 
• Pega 
• Filenet and Kofax 
• Windows & Linux 
• Storage – SAN, NAS, DAS 
• HA – PowerHA, MSCS, VCS 
• Security
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, demonstrating an ability to interact effectively with both technical experts and senior executives.
