About the Job

Our client has a requirement for an IT Analyst for a 6 Month Contract opportunity.  The position is located in Scarborough, ON.

Role

The Scheduling Services team, under Enterprise IT Operations(EITO), administers and maintains the CA Workload Automation tool (CA7). This includes the day to day requests, as well as ensuring the product is kept current with maintenance and is upgraded with future releases.
We are looking for two (2) candidates who will manage and maintain the support of the CA Workload Automation tool (CA7) in the testing environment. Please note these candidates would need to be willing to work five days straight either on morning, evening or midnight shift for a total of 37.5 hours. The shift work hours have not been determined yet but candidates would not go over 37.5 hours.

Skills

  • Advanced knowledge of CA7 (critical) and CA11.
  • sound knowledge of both Mainframe and Distributed (System I, Windows, and Unix)
  • Familiar with various scripting languages
  • Familiarity of various scripting languages
  • Understands Service Desk Tool (i.e., Incident, Change, and Problem Management methodologies)
  • Proficiency with MS office product suite (Word, Excel PowerPoint etc.).
  • Familiarity with Autosys an asset
  • banking/financial industry experience 
  • Possess strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Must be able to prioritize, work independently and in a team environment.
  • Analytical report writing skills.
  • Able to multi-task in a fast paced, dynamic environmen
  • Comfortable with working in a rapidly changing, technically complex environment.

Responsibilities

  • Primary responsibility will be to manage and maintain the support of the CA Workload Automation tool (CA7) in the testing environment.
  • This role will include day to day activities, and administrative functions.
  • Investigate and troubleshoot escalated incidents.
  • Provide guidance and scheduling recommendations to the application teams.
  • Shift work and weekends required

  • Excellent communication (both written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
  • Candidate must be organized, self motivated, as well as a team player
  • Be able to participate in the knowledge transfer of information with peers and management.
