Job Description

Our client has a requirement for a Delivery Lead-IT Engineering for a 6 month contract opportunity.  The position is located in Toronto.

What makes this Special

One of our trusted retail clients are looking for a Delivery Lead that will be responsible for the infrastructure delivery of the IT solution, planning the technical tasks, resource and efforts to lead the implementation and deployment of IT Solutions into Production. The Delivery Lead is the single point of contact between the project and the resources within the Engineering team. The DL will work with members of the Engineering Design and Build teams to develop the plans necessary to design, source, build and deploy the appropriate solution to meet a Project’s requirements. The DL is responsible for making sure that the Project receives appropriate and professional service from the Engineering team. This is achieved through proactive and consistent communication and driving the plan forward to successful completion.

Requirements

• Create and monitor Project Plan with Technical Tasks, Resources, Efforts for the Infrastructure Delivery
• Provide Project Resource Forecasts
• Communication with Project Sponsors
• Review Detailed Designs
• Coordinates with Build Team for Procurement of assets
• Coordinates the installation with clients IT resources and vendor’s support personnel
• Request and manages the installation through the Change and Release Management cycles.
• Meets the requirements of the Asset Management and Configuration Management process
• Ensures that the IT Operations Team and Service Desk have the materials that they need for production implementation    

Qualified Candidates will have

• Infrastructure PM or delivery lead experience
• SOA experience
• Middleware experience
• Facility with Microsoft Project
• Knowledge of ITIL and ITIL Processes
• Project management skills
• Negotiation skills
• General knowledge of a diverse array of IT infrastructure
• System analysis or specific IT experience
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
• Retail experience (nice to have)
