Job Description

Our client has a requirement for Senior Project Manager for a 11 month contract opportunity.  The position is located in Calgary.

Role

This Project Manager will be responsible for all aspects of successful  project delivery for application projects. The PM will be required to manage either one large project (over $1 M) or several smaller projects (less than $500K each). Projects will have a focus on applications for Corporate, Operations and Engineering, and/or Energy.

As the project manager, you will be responsible for overall successful delivery of projects and will be required to take the defined projects through the  Execution and Transition phases.  Throughout the project, PMO processes will be followed including:

• Project resource management (internal, vendor and contract resources)
• All aspects of project management including scope, schedule, cost, risks, and quality.
• Produce status updates, and lead management update meetings.
• Identify and protect integration points with other organization’s applications, IS departments, supply chain management and business areas.
• Manage projects to time and budget and to a high level of customer satisfaction.

• This position may be extended depending on the project schedule needs and potential new business opportunities. There is the possibility that some minimal business travel may be required for this position within Canada.
