Job Description

Our client has a requirement for an Application Developer for a 12 month contract opportunity. The position is located in Calgary.

Requirement or Qualifications

• We require a GIS and Silverlight developer for the GeoFind Modernization Project:

The high level scope for this position includes:

• Senior developer with expertise in ESRI platform, .NET platform, C# and Silverlight development

The successful candidate must have:

• Solid knowledge in ESRI platform and GIS
• Working experience with ArcGIS Server, Server Extensions, engine development kit
• Coding experience in .NET Framework, C# and Silverlight experience and web programming tools such as XML, SOAP, and JavaScript .
• Knowledge of Oracle database or SQL Server (stored procedures, functions and cursor).
• Good analytical and problem solving skills.

Responsibilities include:

• Design and implement a solution for upgrading the IMT application to work with ESRI 10.1 server
• Design and implement GeoFind application software enhancements using SilverLight,.NET and ESRI server.
• Upgrade and write new Python scripts to support new business requirements
• Document the design and the implemented changes

Requirements:

• .NET (C#) development
• ESRI ArcGIS Server, ESRI Spatial Data Engine (SDE),ESRI ArcGIS Desktop suite
• Silverlight development
• Communication skills
• Business Analysis skills
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
• May need to deliver under tight timelines
• Able to adapt to changing business requirements
• Experience with PODS (Pipeline Open Data Standard) is an asset
