Job Description:

Our client has a requirement for a Web Developer for a contract opportunity.  The position is located in Ottawa.

Requirement or Qualifications:

Qualified Candidates will have:

·         Post-secondary degree, diploma, or certificate in IT or related field from a recognized university or college.

• Minimum 2 yrs exp, since January 1, 2006, developing and implementing deployed drupal-powered web sites. You have contributed to the development of drupal themes and (ideally) drupal modules or core.
• Education and Certifications: PHP Zend Certified - http://www.zend.com/en/services/certification/
• OR has taken at least two courses focusing on Drupal development, design themes or modules.
• Drupal Development: experience developing Drupal-powered websites.  (PHP, JavaScript and Drupal Framework.)
• Query Development: hands-on experience with jQuery, Prototype and other Ajax and JSON techniques.
• Web 2.0 Interfacing: experience including building custom CCK extensions, hooks, advanced theme construction, mobile templates and modules, and/or SOAP interfaces to external products.
• Government Policy and Standards: knowledge of GOC policies, standards, and guidelines related to electronic communications, including the GOC Communications Policy and the GOC Standards for CLF on the Internet (CLF 2.0).
• Web 2.0  Customizations: experience in (2) of the following areas: Microsoft FastCGI tuning for IIS;   Oracle database interfaces for PHP;  DAL programming and other Drupal programming techniques; Flexible Notifications and Alerts engines, including mobile alerts
• Web 2.0 Modules: experience regarding implementation of Drupal modules. (Liquid Wiki Module, Organic Groups, Advanced Forum and Ajax Chat and, Advanced Security, Fault Tolerance) OR contributed to the development of Drupal themes and (ideally) drupal modules or core.
