Job Description:
Our client has a requirement for a 3 month contract opportunity with possible extension beyond the initial contract period.  The positions are located in Ottawa, Ontario (K1A 0N8)

Requirement or Qualifications:
 Qualified Candidates will have:
  • Experience with Wiki functionality.
  • Experience with custom UI (Drupal powered Wiki )
  • .NET
  • Experience with Lucene (Zend) Search Framework, Google Search Appliance or other relevant search API.
  • Experience in building CMIS and ICOM compliant Web services.
  • Review functional requirements to incorporate information and procedures into the Collaboration / Web 2.0 Infrastructure solution.
  • Develop and recommend integration options for meeting requirements.
  • Communicate to, and consult with staff or clients as appropriate, to ensure that the Collaboration / Web 2.0 Infrastructure solution responds to client needs.
  • Review Project deliverables related to integration of  components Develop using .NET
  • Build custom ASP.NET and C# modules dealing with MS Office server-side automation, Adobe PDF API, Encryption API and other relevant technologies.
  • Provide guidance and advice with regards integration with RDIMS / eDOCS API
  • Develop CMIS and ICOM compliant Web services.
  • Provide guidance and advice with SOAP and REST services and WS-Security standards for MS Office integration.
  • Assist with the development of flexible Notifications and Alerts engines, including mobile alerts, as required.
  • Work with programmers, and applications, network, database and systems administrators to develop and define detailed solutions, and participate in the Collaboration / Web 2.0 Infrastructure solution development process.
  • Define and document all system components, their interfaces, and operational environment within the context of the Collaboration / Web 2.0 Infrastructure solution environment.
  • Develop test strategies, including test plans, test cases and testing checklists, and coordinate or perform integration and acceptance testing.
  • Investigate problems with Collaboration / Web 2.0 Infrastructure Project experienced by staff or clients, carry out further testing if necessary, document and report the problems as appropriate, identify possible solutions, document the fixes, and follow up with affected staff or clients.
  • Provide Project office staff, user and client support by responding to questions, and training staff on how the Collaboration / Web 2.0 Infrastructure Project functions.
  • Recommend changes to current business components applications to alleviate operational difficulties, improve processes and add new functionality.
  • Draft and maintain documentation of Collaboration / Web 2.0 Infrastructure solution, including manual processes and operational procedures, using standard documentation techniques.
  • Support business requirements by evaluating current and proposed Collaboration / Web 2.0 Infrastructure solution components against the Business Requirements Document.
