Our client has a requirement for BI Developer Team Lead / Applications Programmer Team Lead for a 2 month contract opportunity. The positions are located in Toronto.

Requirement or Qualifications:
Qualified Candidates will have:
· Similar experience as a Senior Applications Programmer III to be a part of the Business Intelligence development team
· Focus on ETL development and has BI/DW experience as programmer/designer along with team lead experience.
· Responsible for developing ETL processes and tools for data extraction and loading, transformation and cleansing implementing business rules.
· Strong ETL development experience
· BI/DW experience as programmer/designer and team lead experience
· Must have ETL development, Unix, SQL and database experience.
· Nice to have Java and Perl Development
The BI Solutions delivery team is responsible for enterprise business solutions utilized by Wholesale banking division. Data warehouse solutions are implemented on DB2 v9 with Ab Initio ETL tool and Cognos 8.4 Suite providing BI solutions to our technology clients and business partners. Java/Shell Scripting/Stored Procedures are used for back end processing. Actuate and Crystal is used for Enterprise reporting solutions.
Job Description/Accountabilities include:
· Perform system analysis, design, programming, testing, and walkthroughs following SDLC methodology and adhering to bank technology standards
· Produce test plans/scripts and perform test execution using available/appropriate tools
· Utilize the system development life cycle (SDLC) and project management methodology (PMLC) to create, review and complete required project documentation
· Contribute to team success by meeting key project milestones and overall project deliverables on time and within budget, while adhering to development and quality standards
· Participate in knowledge transfer within the team and with our technology partners
Specific Educational Requirements / Accreditations:
· BS degree in Computer Service or equivalent work experience
Other Qualifications / Skills / Experience:
· Nice to have 10+ years experience in Database/SQL skills in one or more popular database technologies preferably DB2, SQL Server, Oracle.
· must have at least 10+ years experience in ETL technology with Dataware house specific skill set. Database Design and modelling skills
· 5-10 years experience Java technologies in proven workplace development skills is an asset
Advanced knowledge in Shell and PERL scripting in Unix/AIX environment
Advanced knowledge in Shell and PERL scripting in Unix/AIX environment
· Report development experience in Actuate Reporting Suite (ver 8 or higher) and/or Crystal Reporting Suite (Ver 10 or higher) is considered as an asset.
· Strong analytical, problem-solving, collaborative skills
· Solid experience in analyzing query performance issues and modifying data structures or application code to remedy performance problems
· Added plus to have knowledge in IBM dataware house tool set with DB2, Cubing Service.
· Proficiency in XML technologies with experience in XQuery again XML based databases will be considered as an asset.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and with changing priorities
· Experience with electronic systems trading systems a plus
· Willing to provide production support
· Team lead experience
