About the Job

Our client has a requirement for three Senior Solutions Architects for permanent opportunities.  The positions are located in Calgary, AB.

Role

The role of "Solutions Architect" requires knowledge and skills that are both broad and deep. To be effective the Solutions Architect must have experience on multiple Hardware and Software Environments and be comfortable with complex heterogeneous systems environments.

The ideal candidate is a highly seasoned senior technocrat who has led multiple projects through the Software development process or Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC), and has usually performed in a variety of different roles in that life cycle.

Responsibilities

The incumbent will provide architectural direction in structure, design, technology and infrastructure, as part of the process of developing, customizing, integrating and maintaining systems for our Technology Solutions organization.

The incumbent will provide solutions and technical architecture guidance and oversight to business, project delivery, and system support teams as they develop and maintain client technology solutions.

Requirements or Qualifications

Qualified Candidates will have:

• Senior Solution Architect with minimum of 5 years experience in a large organization *or* with a consulting firm.
• Must be able to converse with technology and business partners using vocabulary that is tailored to the audience.
• Must be able to influence others through strong decision-making, negotiation and presentation skills.
• Exposure to TOGAF is a nice-to-have.
• Must have experience architecting usable end-to-end technology solutions for distributed COTS applications (e.g. PeopleSoft/financials/ERP/HR/Clinical)
• Must have experience designing/implementing multiple solutions concurrently
• Experience solutioning custom Software Implementation Projects an asset
• Experience with Integration Patterns and technologies a nice-to-have.
• Must have exposure to domain architecture (Data, Business, Infrastructure, etc  ...) and experience liaising with individuals in these roles.
• Experience in Health Services a nice-to-have.
