About the Job
Our client has a requirement for a Senior Project Manager for a six month contract opportunity.  The position is located in Toronto.

Role
We are seeking a seasoned project manager to lead a large project that has the objective to deliver a data warehouse, reporting tools and data maintenance solution that is being developed in house.


Responsibilities
  • As a senior project manager the incumbent will be expected to perform the following duties:
  • Develop and maintain the project schedule.
  • Working with the team to obtain work effort estimates and other input to the planning process.
  • Work with other PM’s to coordinate external dependencies across projects.
  • Work with other PM’s to resource balance across consolidated plans, where required.
  • Ongoing management and escalation of issues and risks.
  • Organizing and facilitating meetings.
  • Communication management within and outside the project team
  • Regular status reporting.
  • Financials management – accountable for the project budget and tracking of actuals.
  • Ongoing scope management and facilitation of change requests when required.
  • Resource planning and management.
  • Writing and gaining approval for project management artifacts to obtain funding and approval for additional phases of work.
  • Ongoing maintenance and update to all project management artifacts including Readiness Assessment and Project Closure documents.
  • Working with and motivating the project team to deliver exceptional quality deliverables that exceed sponsor expectations.


Requirements or Qualifications
Qualified Candidates will have:
  • Trading risk; including Market Risk, Counterparty Credit Risk and Liquidity Risk.
  • Trading P&L processes, P&L Attribution, Valuation adjustments and IPV processes.
  • Data warehouse development and implementation
  • Business Intelligence (BI) Reporting tools knowledge and implementation
  • GUI front end development and implementation
  • Software development lifecycle processes and best practices
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
  • Demonstrated experience managing large complex projects in an investment banking environment
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills managing stakeholder relationships.
  • PMI Certification required, ITIL certification an asset
