About the Job:
 The Senior Integration Analysts manages the Integration Engine applications on a province wide basis to enable sustainable quality programs and services. The Senior Integration analysts reports to the Team Lead, Integration Engines and are members of the integration support and development team. They are considered experts in systems integration and HL7 messaging fields and have advanced programming skills. The senior integration analysts are responsible for the following outcomes.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Working independently, with minimal guidance, and through teams to ensure reliable operations of province wide Integration Engines that affect the achievement of the Integration Engines operational, project, and service objectives;
  • Resolves complex enterprise wide problems independently or through others, with minimal guidance, by applying broad perspective and best practices to identify innovative solutions;
  • Is engaged for integration architectural decisions that affect the interconnectivity of clinical systems within the same zone and also between zones;
  • Responsible for the technical architecture of the integration engines;
  • Facilitates the ability for many disparate clinical (and some non-clinical) systems to communicate electronically;
  • Takes a broad perspective to assess requirements and recommend innovative non standard information technology solutions to customers’ enterprise wide business needs; and
  • May lead projects with moderate size, risk, complexity, often including responsibility for expenditure monitoring and cost control

     
 Requirements or Qualifications:
  • Leads team of business personnel, vendor personnel, and other IT Systems analysts to identify complex problems’ causes and takes broad perspective to find resolution or interim work around
  • Has a deep understanding of business function and system technical abilities, uses this understanding and best practice knowledge of the technology used within the system to effectively triage and diagnose problems.
  • Recommends best practices and processes to ensure stable operations and optimum performance of systems are proactively maintained.
  • Leads development and testing analysts and recommends testing best practice to ensure all solutions are in order prior to introduction into production system operations.
  • Creates and updates system architecture documentation, best practice guidelines, and protocols. 
  • Participates in 24 hour on call rotation, as required.
  • Often leads project teams in moderate sized projects, (moderate risk, scope and complexity) or leads a project sub-team responsible for delivering a complex set of inter-related tasks, within a larger project, lead by a formal project manager.
  • Responsible for timely and accurate delivery complex project deliverables, with minimal guidance, through teamwork.
  • Monitors project progress and due dates, anticipating potential problems and conflicts early, and recommends mitigation strategies.
  • Customer Relationship Management and Advocacy
  • Main contact points for the integration engines area with respect to the integration environment and influence the integrated systems stakeholder’s thinking in regards to IT enablement and strategy.
  • Proposes solutions to increase efficiencies and implements approved changes.
  • Works closely with other IT groups to manage solution for customer. Takes ownership of customer issues, and champions them within IT as a whole.
