About the Job
Job Description
Our GTA client has a requirement for a Systems Administrator to join their team. This is a 6 month contract located in Toronto.
Deliverables
- Provides systems administration & operations support for the client environment.
- Provide technical support in response to MIS and HRIS end-user requests.
- Records and tracks technical applications issues and complaints and contribute to problem identification.
- Monitors computer workload trends and makes adjustments to ensure optimum utilization of computer resources
- Support application systems, troubleshooting, enhancements, and maintenance
- Provide technical support on software issues in response to end-user requests
- Exercises independent judgment in selecting and interpreting information, handling deviations from standard methods and resolving difficulties
- Support Lead in all tasks & act as backup when required.
- Track and control the change management process within the project
- Participate in ongoing process improvement, and recommend process change
- Deliver the project tasks as requested by the Lead
- Identify barriers and suggests strategies to overcome them
- Provide feedback to Lead regarding progress on all projects
- Maintain an appropriate knowledge of technology to ensure effective system design and implementation
Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years experience working in a Technical support environment.
- University Degree, other relevant certification or equivalent industry experience (ITIL etc)
- Experience with Wiki collaboration tool, JIRA & Footprints
- Experience in fast paced, multi-application support environment – supporting MIS and/or HRIS software applications
- Experience working with Active Directory – creating, adding & deleting users
- Experience working in environments meeting aggressive SLA
- Experience with change management processes.
- Experience with problem management processes
- Experience supporting different functional groups in an operations/infrastructure setting
- Experience providing technical support to healthcare organizations
Nice to have
- Experience supporting Quadrant HR and MS Dynamics GP
Other
- The role may require on-call support.
