Job Description:
Our client has a requirement for a Windows 7 Upgrade Project Coordinator for a 6 month opportunity. The position is located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

We are looking for Project
Coordinator candidates to lead an upcoming Windows XP to Windows 7
operating system upgrade/refresh project. The main location of work will
be Norristown, PA but candidate will also work at others sites
including: Collegeville, Reading and West Norriton, PA as needed.
Mileage, tolls and parking will be reimbursed for travel between the
sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify integrity of site and asset data provided by client to build a migration schedule
- Assess the hardware identifying candidates for OS upgrade and hardware replacement
- Utilize the upgrade/refresh candidate counts to draft and submit resource request to Project manager for sourcing
- Work closely with the users in the site to schedule the upgrades
- Work closely with the Project Manager on any changes to schedule that impact resource requirements.
- Verify asset availability for refresh hardware with the site POC.
- Communicate schedule changes/updates as needed to appropriate organizations.
- Coordinate with the site engineers on training of contract resources on the build process
- Identify and coordinate with the site engineers and end client IT program managers as required to resolve issues, and obtain sign-off as required.
- Confirm resources arrive on time and each site and manage late arrivals and no shows.
- Report updates and required check points and attend calls as required in support of daily activity.
- At the completion of a site, confirm the work has been completed with the customer prior to releasing the team.
- Provide daily report of site upgrade activity, labor reporting, etc, as required.
- Attend project meetings as required.
Technical and Behavioral Skills:
- Applicants must have appropriate technical expertise and a proven record of achievement in leadership and operations in the IT field at the level of this position.
- 5+ years prior experience in an IT outsourcing engagement, desktop support, and/or end user services to include Windows 7 migration.
- Strong administrative, interpersonal, communication and leadership skills are required, as is a strong commitment to the highest ethical standards in IT use.
- BS Degree in Information Systems or related field
