About the Job
Our client has a requirement for a Discovery ADDM/CMDB Technical Consultant for a 6 month Contract opportunity. The position is located in Harrisburg.


Role:
Our client is currently looking for a Discovery ADDM/CMDB Technical Consultant who will interface with application owners and technical specialists to define and update application models. This role is integral to sustain the configuration support of the CMDB and perform Application Modeling using Remedy ADDM (Remedy Atrium Discovery Application Modeling), ADDM maintenance and upgrades, and Remedy CMDB changes. The technical consultant will work closely with the tool and process managers.


Primary Responsibilities:
  • Good communication skills to work with IT personnel to build Application and Business Service models in ADDM and the CMDB.
  • Work with data gathering architects to guide them to get information they need to be successful.
  • Perform discoveries and trouble shoot access issues to systems for discovery.
  • Perform updates and upgrades to the ADDM systems.
  • Knowledge of configuring ADDM system on a Linux environment
  • Updating data in the CMDB and modifying the CMDB structure.
  • Collaboration with ITSM tools service manager, process managers, and application owners.
  • Coordinating discovery efforts across multiple regions.
  • Configure and develop capabilities using AIE, Reconciliation, and Normalization.
  • Ensuring all organizational policies and procedures are followed throughout process and application improvement efforts
  • Works directly with Data Gathering Architects and ITSM tools service manager, but will collaborate across IT regions and domains to interact with a wide range of data center representatives.
  • Work with ITSM program office to ensure data gathered is consistent with overall program requirements.

Education and Training:
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, management information systems (or related field), or equivalent experience
  • Required Knowledge and Skills to proficiently manage ADDM, CMDB, and integrations to the CMDB.
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to work with multiple groups to perform Application mapping with multiple groups.
  • Strong analytical, multitasking and prioritization skills
  • BMC ADDM Developer/Administrator – Able to write TPL scripts to extract detailed information.
  • Experience with installing, configuring and integrating out of the box ADDM Discovery solution to integrate with the CMDB.
  • Experience in implementing and maintaining the ADDM application
  • Proficiency in working in a fast-paced, complex, dynamic, business environment
  • Proven ability to build relationships and influence individuals in all regions of the organization
  • Ability to understand complex application infrastructure and model for application mapping.
  • Ability to apply best practices for organizing and discovering complex infrastructure environments, and placing them with business services into the CMDB to provide value to service management processes.
  • Ability to be a proven team player with commitment to the overall organization goals.
