Job Description:

Our client has a requirement for a Senior Calypso Technical Developers for 5 months Contract. The position is located in Toronto, Ontario

 

Role:

Our client is looking for Senior Calypso Technical Developers/Analyst to join Calypso Development Team. We partner with the Front Office, Middle Office, Back Office, Accounting and Risk Management to build/enhance Calypso trading applications.

Requirements and Qualification:

• At least 5 years of Capital Markets experience.
• At least 3 years of experience on Calypso development.
• At least 5+ years of Java design and development experience on financial applications.
• At least 3+ years of Oracle database experience.
• Knowledge on trade life cycle and IRS/CDS/EQD products.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Engineering and 5 years of related work experience.
• Effective verbal and written communications to business users and technical developers.
• Good relationship building and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast pace environment.

 

Resource Responsibilities:

• Participate in technical analyst of Calypso platform upgrade, optimization and consolidation.
• Apply Object Oriented design and programming concepts to build/optimize Calypso and related an applications.
• Be responsible for the complete life cycle of software development which includes analysis, design, specification documentation, coding, unit testing, deployment and L3 support.
• Be a team player and works well with other members of development, support, QA and BA teams.
• Partner with the Business Analysts, Project Managers, QAs and Line of Business to resolve issues and pursuit solutions to business problems.
