Job Description:

Our client has a requirement for a Tivoli ITM/ITCAM specialist for 6 months Contract. The position is located in Toronto, Ontario

Requirements and Qualification:

• Hands on experience in creating and maintaining technical documentation – must have
• There is currently internal no Tivoli monitoring SME. The candidate must be comfortable obtaining information from documentation, investigation, and using vendor resources when needed
• Excellent troubleshooting skills
• Detail oriented and strong organizational skills
• Capable to work under minimum supervision
• Good verbal and written communications skills
• IBM Tivoli Monitoring – must have
• ITCAM for Application – must have
• ITCAM for Transactions – must have
• ITCAM for SOA (Service Oriented Architecture) – highly preferred
• UNIX administration – highly preferred
• WebSphere MB, MQ, WAS – highly preferred
• Database management (Oracle / DB2) - preferred
• TCP/IP Networking – highly preferred
• University degree or 3 year college education in a related field
• A minimum of 5 years of IT related experience
• Hands-on experience in a Linux enterprise environment highly preferred
• Hands on experience in creating documentation – design, build, operations, knowledge base

Resource Responsibilities:

• Responsible for creating and maintaining organization Infrastructure standards and specifications for IBM Tivoli Monitoring technical domain, in line with defined or emerging infrastructure architecture standards. This includes all aspects related to deployment, monitoring, supportability, maintenance, recovery, work effort, costing, etc.
• Obtaining requirements from the Infrastructure Solution Lead contribute to the solution design documentation within the IBM Tivoli Monitoring area of expertise, confirm standards suitability, technology risk and capacity planning
• Provide technical implementation for development, test and production environments, in support for IT projects
• Create and maintain documentation for existing and new implementations
• Assess and review solutions proposed and delivered by vendors, including quality and adherence to solution architecture and internal standards
• Support QA team during test phases for Tivoli infrastructure related issues
• Consult and support Infrastructure Solution Lead and Project Manager to provide work effort estimates, project status, updates, risk, etc.
• Provide Level 3 support for production incidents related to the Tivoli Monitoring technology, engage third party vendors for the technical aspects of the incident as needed
• Participate and provide technology SME in the project hand-over to Operations teams
• Assist IT Infrastructure Portfolio in identifying the need for new technology standards and creating supporting justification
• Support the Infrastructure Architect in the Tivoli Monitoring area of expertise
• Prepare, interpret and present data for various management presentations and reports
