Job Description:

Our client has a requirement for a Solution Architect for 6 months Contract. The position is located in Toronto, Ontario

Requirements and Qualification:

• More than 5 years of experience across multiple IT disciplines in a client/server or service-oriented architecture (SOA) environment, including technical architecture, network management, application development, middleware, database management or operations.
• Technical leadership, judgment, and critical thinking.
• Enterprise Architecture: Enterprise design patterns, multi-platform architectures, integration needs and constraints.
• Ability to translate business concepts and strategy to technology imperatives and designs.
• Experience with enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF); Experience and proven track record in delivering enterprise class solutions.
• Operations Architecture: high-availability, reliability, operability, failover, disaster recovery, capacity/performance management.
• Experience in architecting and delivering of solutions that consider operations / availability.
• Service Oriented Architecture: services architecture, service registry/catalog, ESB/middleware, patterns (pub/sub, scatter/gather).
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, including teamwork, facilitation and negotiation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent planning and organizational skills.
• Exposure to multiple, diverse technologies and processing environments.
• Solutions Architecture experience
• Worked in a large corporation
• IT Infrastructure experience
• TOGAF

• Data Architecture
• General knowledge of Corporate HR function.
• Experience in architecting data solutions
• Business Architecture; Functional modeling, business services, process flows and metrics; Understand key value drivers and role in enterprise architecture
• Infrastructure architecture; operating systems, partitioning, virtualization, high-availability, platform management, network management.

 

Resource Responsibilities:

• Solution accountability across the Corporate HR architecture domain including application, middleware, services, data, and infrastructure architecture; Liaising with other architecture groups / disciplines including infrastructure architecture, data architecture to deliver complete architecture solutions.
• Design and lead the implementation of a Solution Architecture based on business requirements and IT strategies.
• Responsible and accountable for implementing a target applications architecture consistent with client enterprise architecture and technology standards.
• Apply industry/technical knowledge to provide solutions that increase business results and/or minimize risk.
