Our client has a requirement for an Infrastructure Integration Specialist for a 12 month contract opportunity.  The position is located in Toronto.

Role:

The Infrastructure Integration Specialist is required to provide network and security expertise and guidance to the technology team responsible for the operations and maintenance of the technology environments.   The Infrastructure Integration Specialist is a critical resource in ensuring that all technology environments meet the needs of users, operate within specified parameters as per industry best practices, and achieve defined service levels.   They will have a proven track record working in high paced, multi-task, multi-application support environments with aggressive Service Level Agreements (SLAs)

Requirements:

In depth understanding of technical infrastructure integration and other supporting network technologies, such as:

• Citrix XenApp, NetScaler
• Network load balancers such as Big IP
• Security components like firewalls
• VMWare products (i.e. ESXi, vSphere, etc.)
• Microsoft server 2003/2008 and active directory
• Brocade encryption switches
• Monitoring and management tools such as SolarWinds, Splunk and Hyperic
• MS Exchange Server components
• 2+ years of experience working in the healthcare industry, specifically in maintaining and supporting systems such as Electronic Medical Records (EMRs), Hospital Information Systems (HISs), Clinical Assessment tools, and Ontario Healthcare Reporting Standards (OHRS) compliant Financial and Human Resource Management Systems
• Knowledge of personal health information protection legislative requirements and how they apply to developing and maintaining healthcare systems containing personal health information
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills, verbal and written communication skills, and interpersonal skills

The Infrastructure Integration Specialist will:

• Oversee deployments and maintenance of network and network security solutions for the client
• Provide network security solution design, implementation and on-going support for the client
• Analyze network health, availability, and performance for all the clients networks
• Provide solution design, implementation and on-going support for all Secure Remote Access solutions for the client
• Maintain Production, Pre-Production, Training, and related testing environments
• Maintain deployment guides and supporting documentation such as run books, build books
• and network diagrams

Ensure that Personal Information (PI), Personal Health Information (PHI) and other sensitive data in networked software applications is properly secured as per privacy and security policy.  Provide after-hours and on-call support and implementation, as required Work with software/hardware vendors on a frequent basis.  Implement, maintain and support the network hardware (appliance or server) environment, and related infrastructure, as required.  Provide support to System Administrators with respect to server builds and configuration
