About the Job
Our client has a requirement for a VoIP Program Leader for a 6 month contract opportunity.  The position is located in Toronto.

Role
This role is a program lead for the Voice Over IP Program with the Network Transformation Program. The VoIP deployment is a significant and strategic implementation for the Bank and will require advanced leadership and relationship management skills.

The focus of the role is to lead the planning and drive the deployment of all aspects of a national deployment of 65,000 user VoIP implementation for all sites (retail and corporate). Initial deployment is focused on Canada but there are plans to extend the implementation to the US.


Responsibilities
The initial responsibilities of the VoIP Program Lead will include:
  •  Driving a very small, dedicated team comprised of internal stakeholders, team members and vendor(s) to finalize the approach, plan, and schedule and to deliver against it
  • Ensuring the Requirements for the solution are gathered according to scope, plan, and quality expectations
  • Ensuring the Low Level Design for the solution is jointly developed between our organization and Cisco according to scope, plan, and quality expectations
  • Ensuring that Cisco resources are deployed and managed to deliver the most value in the LLD and Solution Development
  • Ensuring the Physical Infrastructure (e.g. PAT/DEV, Production, DR, etc.) are developed and deployed according to scope, plan, and quality expectations
  • Ensuring the Requirements for Deployment (e.g. Processes, Change Management, Training, Testing, Acceptance, etc.) are gathered according to scope, plan, and quality expectations
  • Ensuring that the Contract with Bell Canada is developed in such a way as to meet the deployment needs and manage the Vendor and Deployment to successfully deliver the Program
  • Managing VoIP Program/Project level activities
  • Managing VoIP Program/Project level communications
  • Providing VoIP Program/Project level status and reporting
  • Managing the Risks, Issues, Actions, and Decisions associated with the VoIP Program/Project

Requirements or Qualifications
Qualified Candidates will have:
  • A self-motivated “driver” of activity
  • A solution oriented perspective
  • Senior Project Management training and experience
  • Project Methodology Tools
  • Microsoft Project
  • PMI Certification
  • Experience with stakeholder relationships, project governance, financial control and risk management
  • Experience leading several successful technology projects/implementations with at least one being a VoIP or desktop refresh type program that touched a significant end-user community
  • Above average Leadership, Communication and Stakeholder Management Skills to drive and deliver business cases and programs at the enterprise level including gaining alignment across multiple Lines of Business
  • Ability to manage multi-vendor and stakeholder programs in tight timelines
  • Vendor Management Experience – preferably with Telecomm partners (e.g. Bell, Telus, Rogers, Shaw, etc.), hardware providers (e.g. Cisco), and professional services organizations
  • Contracting Experience
  • Change Management Experience
  • Training Experience
  • Understanding of VoIP solutions would be a benefit
  • CISCO CCNP or CCIE certification
  • Experience within PAT and Production environments
  • Visio
