Job Description:
Our client has a requirement for IT Support Analyst / Level 1 for a 12 month contract opportunity. The position is located in Toronto, Ontario.
Requirements:
- Provides technical support to clients through ticketing request or other mechanism.
- Provides IT trouble-shooting support, and implements testing where necessary.
- May be required to guide or manage team of IT Support Analysts
- Works closely with other IT Support Analyst and support clients from multiple sites from multiple locations
- Works closely with other team members including Database Administrators (DBA’s), System Administrators, Network Administrators and Privacy and Security.
- Manages defined IT processes for projects & maintains network connections.
- Supplies software and hardware to team members as appropriate.
- Account creation and maintenance.
- Backup and recovery of project data.
- Installs system (server and personal computer) and application patches.
- Reviews logs and other monitoring activities for servers, personal computers and application solutions as per the logging and monitoring policy.
- Supports business applications as defined in run books and deployment guides.
- Prioritizes regularly scheduled service activities along with urgent, often unscheduled support requests with a high level of responsiveness.
Qualified Candidates will have:
- University Degree or relevant certification in this area or minimum 5 years’ equivalent industry experience
- Experience troubleshooting hardware issues & replacing hardware on both desktop & laptop PCs.
- Experience installing software, patches, updates on desktops, laptops, and servers.
- Experience with server-based business applications (i.e. e-mail, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), collaboration and document management products).
- Experience troubleshooting basic network, software, printing and Blackberry problems.
- Experience with account creation and maintenance in Active Directory.
- Excellent communication, customer service and people skills.
- Experience in inventory management and procurement processes.
- Ability to meet critical timelines in a rapidly changing environment.
- Excellent management of client relationships.
- Ability to handle various priorities and deliver on time.
- Awareness of emerging IT trends.
- Travel may be required between in-city and remote office locations
