Job Description:Our client has a requirement for GIS Business Analyst for a 3 month contract opportunity. The position is located in Toronto.

Requirement or Qualifications: The successful candidate will have experience as a business analyst on the development of GIS systems as well as experience in preparing training materials and facilitating training sessions.

Must Have Skills:

• 10+ years experience in business analysis;
• Experience in structured methodologies for the identification of user requirements and the development of system specifications;
• Experience in the use of tools to document conceptual requirements;
• Experience as a business analyst on the development of GIS systems;
• Experience in preparing training materials and facilitating training sessions;
• Experience in the use of testing tools and in planning, organizing and implementing testing efforts;
• Experience completing architecture design artefacts following the Zachman Framework e.g. use case modeling, class diagrams, use case surveys, functional specifications, etc.;
• Experience documenting tool tips and help text for web applications.
• Experience in the use of data modelling tools, e.g. PowerDesigner, to document conceptual requirements and scope;
• Experience working in all 5 architecture domains of the Zachman Framework i.e. business, information, application, technology, and security;

Experience in one or more of the following areas:

• Development of Internet/Intranet business strategies;
• Business process re-engineering;
• Joint Application Development facilitation
• Previous Gov of Ontario experience
