About the Job
Our client has a requirement for a Microsoft Server Specialist for a 22 month contract opportunity. The position is located in Toronto.
Requirements:
Server Infrastructure Projects
(i) Work as part of the Network Engineering Server team
(ii) Participate in the expansion of an existing Microsoft Hyper-V virtual server environment
(iii) Participate in planning and implementation of dual site storage, database, and application replication to protect mission critical IT services
(iv) Participate in project teams to provide server infrastructure required by Application Development projects
(v) Physical to virtual server migration
(vi) Upgrade Servers from Windows 2003 to 2008r2
(vii) Capacity Planning
(viii) Develop testing strategies with Application Development to test new IT
(ix) Documentation – Build Books and Run Books.
(x) Knowledge transfer to internal subject matter experts and internal technical resources.
Qualified Candidates will have:
The individual must have a minimum (6) years experience with:
- Microsoft server/storage design and implementation
- Microsoft MCSE or MCTS certification or higher
- Experience with design and implementing Microsoft Hyper-V virtualization
- Experience implementing HP Server and storage technologies
- Experience with high availability clusters and dual-site data replication
- Experience implementing enterprise Citrix infrastructures
- Experience with server security configurations
