Job Description

Our client has a requirement for Project Control Officer for a 5 month contract opportunity. The position is located in Mississauga.

The Project Control Officer will be supporting a Tier 1 initiative within the Credit Card technology team to ensure project control procedures and policies within a program of related projects are executed. The PCO will assist in maintaining project schedules, develop and maintain issue logs, maintain project repositories of documents, prepare documents for various recurring meetings including minutes, issue logs, and risks etc. The PCO will develop presentation documentation as required for project teams and develop consolidate program status reports. The primary focus will be on providing financial tracking and analytical support to project managers.


Responsibilities

•Utilize project management software and applicable templates to prepare documentation, track and monitor project information.
•Monitor and maintain financial reporting, along with assisting with project forecasting, ensuring project managers complete updates are required. Create additional reports as necessary.
•Exercise discretion in managing correspondence and information, escalating issues where appropriate.
•Acts as central point of communication for core team members, management, technology partners and other stakeholders on the project.
•Ability to analyze issues, track down information and resolve problems.
•MS Project knowledge to create and maintain project plans. MS Excel and PowerPoint knowledge to create and maintain documents . Knowledge and experience in maintaining a central repository of project plans, reports, competencies etc.
•Gather risks from other application partners and consolidate at a project level
•Experience with coordinating multiple teams
•Experience in working on a technology team an asset
•Work with minimal supervision
•Occasional travel to downtown Toronto for onsite sessions with our business partner

•Organized and proactive with follow up.
