About the Job

Job Description:

Our client has a requirement for an Enterprise Application Admin/Support for a 5 month contract opportunity. The positions are located in Toronto.


Duties:

As an Enterprise Application Admin/ you will be member of the IT Deployment and Sustainment Team responsible for the efficient rollout and support of the Automotive Management System (AMS) Application and Infrastructure to our 500 Retail locations in a complex multi tier environment. The EAA must have advanced problem solving and communication stills to effectively deal with issues from Tier 1 and 2 support teams and to promote collaboration between the business and IT as well as the 3rd party vendors.


Requirements:

- Incident Management/ Service Pack Updates
- Triage production incidents/alerts and participate in problem resolution
- Coordinate with the test team to test new service packs and update test environments
- Triage uncategorized issues and ensure the appropriate actions are taken
- Deploy Service Pack (via a specific rollout process)
- Provide guidance and recommendation to optimize the rollout and upgrade process
- Application Architecture & Configuration
- Assess impact of future releases based on the current company implementation Vendor relationship
- Act as a key contact between the company and the 3rd party vendors
- Provide guidance on operations and performance tuning of the application and platform


Qualified Candidates will have:

- Able to influence others and lead work teams
- Excellent at writing, speaking, presenting, and using a variety of communications vehicles in technical and non-technical terms
- Excellent problem solving and decision making skills, dealing with complex application and platform issues and configurations.
- Consistently achieve challenging objectives and meets commitments
- Understands clients’ needs and concerns
- Able to seek input, analyze information, consider alternatives, and make good decisions
- Ability to work independently, and in a team environment, with many competing priorities
- Experience with n-tier and cross-platform enterprise-class application
- Demonstrated ability to deliver to plans
- Ability to learn quickly and on the job
- College or University education in Computer Science, Business, Mathematics or equivalent
- Knowledge of PVCS or similar code management tools
