Our client has a requirement for Webmethods Specialist for a 6 month contract opportunity. The positions are located in Toronto.

Role:
The System Integrator (WebMethod Specialist) will work as member of the project team. The key responsibility is to work with the integration teams in the architecture, design, build or modify, test and implementation of adapters and other integration components for integrating the system with backend system or channels for communication. In addition, this system integrator will perform testing of all integration components for the upgrade of the existing Lagan ECM software to the next version.
Responsibilities
  • Integration planning
    • Define the integration scope and overall approach for integration.
    • Estimate and confirm project requirements to ensure feasibility and ability to manage project risk
  • Integration Architecture, Design, Build, Modify, Test and Implementation
    • Develop integration components, including architecture, design, build, test and implementation
    • Design technical architecture components of the integrations
    • Collaborate with the existing integration team.
    • Work actively on alignment with the Enterprise Architecture framework, architecture and technology standards through consultation and review with Enterprise Architecture group
    • Assist in the development of technical documentation of the system interface components, deployment guide and release note.
  • Testing of the integrated solution for software upgrade
    • Prepare test plan
    • Prepare use cases and test scripts
    • Execute test scripts
    • Document defects
    • Modify Web Service calls
Requirement or Qualifications:
(a) Experience:
  • Demonstrated experience in leading technical teams in integration projects, utilizing webMethods Enterprise Application Integration technologies.
  • Extensive experience in designing and developing integration components for large organizations, Contact Centre and complex integration projects using webMethods Integration Server and Broker.
  • Demonstrated experience in and knowledge of current and emerging technologies and protocols including Java (web and client/server), Service Oriented Architecture, Java J2EE, XML, XSLT, XML-schema,SOAP, BPE, MS-SQL 2008
  • Demonstrated experience in and knowledge of HP Quality Centre
  • Demonstrated experience preparing and presenting technical materials, including standards, procedures, and technical specifications to all levels of management and staff
  • In-depth expertise in problem solving issues in messaging based integration solutions
  • Experience working in a large enterprise environment with integrated enterprise solutions such as workflow management, business process management, business rules management, document management, content management, customer relations management, enterprise application integration and portal solutions
  • Experience in Architecting and developing scalable solution for work order systems
  • University degree in computer science or related discipline, and considerable years of progressive experience working on large-scale information technology projects.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written), presentation skills, analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to provide advice, work with minimum supervision, set priorities, plan and execute tasks
  • Experience in establishing and maintaining an effective consulting relationship with corporate clients and vendors, with a strong customer service orientation
  • Knowledge in key architecture components such as Security, Network Firewall and Load Balancer
(b) Technical Capabilities:
  • 7+ years experience integrating enterprise applications using webMethods integration technologies, designing and implementing inter-application messaging using canonical data-models, XML Schema, with fault tolerance and error handling.
  • 7+ working with webMethods Integration Server and Broker.
  • 4+ year experience with integration
  • 7+ years experience with Oracle RDBMS, PL/SQL programming and MS-SQL 2005/8
  • 4+ years of solution design for Java/J2EE, preferably forIBMWebsphere
  • 3+ years experience architecting solutions using Service Oriented Architecture
  • 4+ years of experience in developing re-usable integration services using Lagan ECM
  • 3+years of experience using HP Quality Centre
