Our client has a requirement for Program Manager for a 6 month contract opportunity. The position is located in Toronto

Role:
- Support the Program VP and Program Director to manage the Closeout of the Project
- Closeout responsibilities include activities in the following areas; Finance and Procurement, Information Management, Communications, Human Resources, Intellectual Property Recovery and Service Decommissioning, and Lessons Learned
- Manage the completion of project management activities and closeout of project plans, schedules, logs, reports, controls, etc.
- Manage the completion of project deliverable activities and their closeout, i.e. knowledge repository, traceability, Sharepoint, etc.
- Liaise with internal and external project management staff of other projects to identify and manage their closeout activities, i.e. test data, project schedules, deliverables, intellectual property, etc.
- Collaborate with internal external stakeholders to manage the Closeout activities
- Manage and track the expenditure of the project throughout the Closeout phase utilizing project management methodologies and best practices
- Be accountable for management of risk and issue for the program and compliance with enterprise risk and issue management practices
- Support the Program VP and Program Director to manage the development of a chronic disease management strategy
- Create a work plan in collaboration with the Product Team to develop a revised strategy for a chronic disease management solution
- Manage the activities associated with the strategy work plan utilizing project management methodologies and best practices
- Support the Program VP with any other deliverables.
Requirement or Qualifications:
Qualified Candidates will have:
- Senior level program management and leadership ability and experience in a large multi-faceted project/portfolio context
- Previous experience of successful delivery of multiple programs or portfolios of projects in different complex IT environments
- Previous experience of successful delivery of multiple projects with a combination of resourcing, including multiple vendors and full time resources
- PMP designation desirable
- Previous experience in strategic planning and project planning with large, complex IT systems development projects with multiple stakeholders
- Ability to attend to details and perform critical analysis of deliverables, while applying tact and diplomacy in interactions with team-mates and external partners
- Experienced in support and regular reporting to senior management and executives
- Experience with managing projects/programs in the Ontario Public Sector
- Experience with Health sector is desirable
- Strong knowledge of and skill with MS Project and MS Visio
- Good applied knowledge of PMBOK
