Infrastructure Analyst

The Infrastructure department currently has an opportunity for an Analyst who will design, develop and maintain management reports and SharePoint based solutions with a focus on supporting and enhancing a MOSS 2007 Delivery site.

Responsibilities include:
  • ·         Maintaining existing SharePoint infrastructure including modifications to security and content.
  • ·         Developing management reports utilizing data from different sources (SharePoint, Excel, flat files,etc.)
  • ·         Developing and implementing custom workflow within SharePoint.
  • ·         Developing process flows.
  • ·         Developing mockups.
  • ·         Enhancing the current Delivery site.
  • ·         Developing the front-end side of the application.
  • ·         Working with the end user to ensure requirements are met and  automating  manual procedures.
  • ·         Resolving any issues related to SharePoint as they arise.
  • ·         Working within the client's guidelines and documenting all new processes and procedures.
  • ·         Documenting all changes and work done within SharePoint.
  • ·         Recommending best practice solutions to business challenges and be willing to offer creative suggestions.
  • ·         Recognizing and challenging tendencies to take the easier path when it means sacrificing quality and care.
Qualifications include:
  • ·         Bachelor’s degree in computer science/MIS or related field or equivalent.
  • ·         Certification in Microsoft SharePoint technology or equivalent experience.
  • ·         Certification in Microsoft SQL or equivalent experience.
  • ·         .Net certification or equivalent experience is required.
  • ·         Four (4) years’ experience with SharePoint MOSS 2007 administration and development.
  • ·         Minimum of one (1) year of .Net Framework experience.
  • ·         Minimum one (1) year Microsoft SQL experience.
  • ·         Previous experience working in a financial services environment would be an asset.
  • ·         Previous Training experience would be an asset.
  • ·         Experience with SharePoint (MOSS 2007/2010), SharePoint 2007/2010, PerformancePoint, SQL Reporting Services (SSRS), SQL 2005, SQL 2008, Visual Studio 2008, Visual SourceSafe, Nintex and Infopath.
  • ·         Extract, transfer and load (ETL) experience preferred.
  • ·         Familiarity working within virtual environments.
  • ·         Familiarity with software development methodologies including Agile Software Development.
  • ·         Application Development Database Design and good SQL construction knowledge an asset.
  • ·         Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with clients at all levels.
  • ·         Able to listen well and solve problems quickly and efficiently.
  • ·         Good communication skills and is able to articulate concepts and ideas in both written and oral forms.
  • ·         Well organized and able to handle diverse situations, multiple projects and rapidly changing priorities.
