Job Description
Our client has a requirement for a Senior Programmer Analyst for a 2 month contract opportunity. The position is located in Toronto.
Requirements:
The Programmer Analyst will be responsible for the design, coding and production implementation of high-quality application software solutions. The Programmer Analyst will work in a team environment to implement business requested enhancements or IT identified solutions. You will be efficient in technology and knowledge of software development methodologies/techniques, and have working experience in development of multi-tier business applications. You will have the ability to make technical modifications and provide the business with solutions that will meet their needs (user acceptance).
Qualified Candidates will have:
Knowledge and practical experience programming in the UNIX environment with the following programming languages and development tools:
- PRO*C with embedded SQL
- PL/SQL
- Korn shell scripts
- Oracle stored procedures (particularly with oracle 9.x, 10.x and 11.x)
Knowledge and practical experience of more than one of the following programming languages and development tools would be an asset:
- C# with .NET and Visual Studio technical skills and knowledge
- ASP.Net, CSS, HTML, XML and Javascript
- Crystal Reports
- Mainframe development and technical skills:
- PL/1
- SAS
- DB2/SQL, SPUFI
- IMS DB/DC
- TSO/ISPF, MVS/ESA, FILEAID, ENDEVOR
- SYNCSORT
- JCL
Knowledge and practical experience of the following source control systems would be an asset:
- PVCS
- CVS
- TFS
- ENDEVOR
