We  are looking for a  Junior Websphere administrator  for 6 month  contract in Toronto.

  

Summary:

•     Responsible for the support and maintenance of company web sites.

Education/Experience:

•     Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and/or education.

•     Entry level to 2 years web administration experience.

•     Experience supporting a multi-tiered corporate web site preferred.

Qualification:

•     Previous Unix experience.

•     Previous Unix scripting experience.

•     Knowledge of Linux, AIX and/or Solaris operating system(s).

•     Production and customer focus.

•     Familiarity with JAVA.

•     Familiarity with NT, networking protocols, and general web programming languages.

•     Strong communication and analytical skills.

•     Good understanding of the software development process.

•     Willing to learn new technologies.

•     Ability to perform multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Technical Skills:

•     2-4 years of Linux experience

•     4-6 years of Sun Solaris experience

•     1-2 years of Websphere experience

Major Job Duties and Responsibilities:

•     Convert existing content and clients to new multi-brand platform.

•     Work with project team to implement further website development, content/design/functionality.

•     Assess the company’s intranet/internet and necessary links with external website.

•     Continuously streamline standard product distribution efforts, use of website platform vs. traditional e-mail distribution.

•             Assess and monitor customized product distribution efforts by region.
