Role

Our client is seeking a test automation specialist to help with the development of a suite of professional products for bringing video to wider audiences and new viewing platforms. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining automated test scripts for software and hardware products. In this role you will prepare detailed reports of test results, provide input to test plans and strategies, and log bugs and feature requests. You will also work closely with the QA leads, product managers and software developers to ensure that QA goals have been met.

Responsibilities

• Assist and collaborate in designing and refining test automation framework and strategy
• Identify areas for automation, collect test data requirement, develop test coverage matrices to maximize testing efficiency and scalability
• Implement, maintain and execute detailed test scripts for automated functional, acceptance, integration, regression, system and performance testing
• Assist in defining test execution processes and procedures, end-to-end tracking and reporting
• Utilize and integrate latest Windows hardware and software, in combination with industry applications and tools to perform automated analysis, verification and validation
• Identify, analyze and document defects found during development cycle, such as bug replication and verification, end-to-end tracking of all issues found
• Participate in planning, estimation and prioritization processes for all testing activities with the QA team
• Install, configure and maintain software/hardware configurations to support various testing scenarios and QA environments
• Provide comprehensive work summaries and test result reports
• Proficient in automated test methodologies, software testing principles, concepts, verification and validation techniques
• Demonstrated excellent analytical and problem solving skills
• Expertise in automation test frameworks technologies lik TestNG, JUnit and related development tools
• Solid experience in Java, JavaScript, J2EE/JSP, SOAP, Web Services, XML, SQL and Oracle
• Working knowledge of Java build process with experience using Maven, Ant or similar tool,
• Knowledge of network architectures, communication protocols in LAN/WAN environments, familiar with using routers, switches and firewalls
• Highly self-motivated and excellent attention to detail
• Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• 3 years or more of Java programming and test automation experience in a technology-related industry
• Exposure to media industry, video compression technology or related field is a plus.
