Job Description:

Our client has a requirement for an Enterprise Architect contract opportunity.  The position is located in Ottawa.

Requirement or Qualifications:

Required:

1. University degree at the Bachelor level in Computer Science or Engineering/ Applied Science in one of the following disciplines:  Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering; and a minimum of five (5) years the last eight (8) years were fulfilling the role of an IT Architect;

OR University degree at the Bachelor level in Science, Mathematics or Applied Science/ Engineering in a discipline other than listed in paragraph 1; and a minimum of six (6) years in the last nine (9) years fulfilling the role of an IT Architect;

OR Community College Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Engineering Technology.

2. A  minimum of 10 years; experience as an Enterprise, Business, or Technical Architect

1. A minimum of 10 years experience as an architect on Information Technology (IT) system(s). This experience should be associated with at least one large, complex IT system project if a minimum duration of 2 years. [Note: a large, complex project involves multiple components, multiple networks, showing that the 10-later model was taken into account]
2. A minimum of 3 years experience in the following:

a)      Architecture Development & Modeling

b)      Architecture Frameworks such as , The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF), Zachman Framework

c)       Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)

d)      Experience in the following are assets”

e)      Information Exchange & XML standards

f)       Unified Modeling Language (UML)
