Description:
Our
client has a requirement for an Infrastructure Specialist for a
3 month contract opportunity. The position is located in
Calgary.

- Act as prime contractor specializing in Cisco UCS with the client team to translate business needs into solutions and services.
- Develop as a team, the UCS architecture of complex solutions that integrate with networks, data centers and managed services.
- Be responsible for developing detailed technology solutions UCS: Business needs assessment, issue identification, feasibility study (design strategic plan and / or technological), detailed design and integration solutions sold (including design and specification of the optimal solution & creating a detailed list of equipment and finally the reporting of consultation).
- Keep abreast of technological developments in the field of information technology and communications, paying special attention to solutions with Cisco UCS.
- Accountable for scalability, reliability and availability of Servers and Networking hardware.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in complex solution architecture
- Knowledge of telecommunications specifically in the areas of LAN, WAN, security, virtualization and cloud services;
- Strong track record of direct interaction with customers in the role of high value and complex positioning of IT solutions.
- Ability to work independently or within a team to achieve business objectives of the company.
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication, listening skills.
- Demonstrated analytical, problem solving and negotiation.
- Ability to demonstrate leadership skills and project management.
- Bachelor of Information, Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Certifications in Systems and Storage (one or more of the following):
- VMware: Vmware Certified Professional (VCP)
- SNIA: Certified Storage Networking Expert (SCSN-E)
- Cisco: Cisco Data Center Storage Networking Design Specialist
