 Job Description

Our client has a requirement for Systems Administration Specialist for a 6 month contract opportunity.  The position is located in Toronto.

Requirements:

The services and deliverables to be provided will include the following:

• Provides systems administration and operations support for our clients Corporate environment.
• Provide technical support in response to MIS and HRIS end-user requests.
• Records and tracks technical applications issues and complaints and contribute to problem identification.
• Monitors computer workload trends and makes adjustments to ensure optimum utilization of computer resources
• Support of servers, application systems, troubleshooting, enhancements & maintenance
• Provide technical support on software issues in response to end-user requests
• Monitor the network environment (LAN or external client service network) to ensure that problems are identified and resolved
• Exercises independent judgment in selecting and interpreting information. handling deviations from standard methods and resolving difficulties
• Support Team Lead in all tasks & act as backup when required.
• Track and control the change management process within the project
• Participate in ongoing process improvement, and recommend process change
• Deliver the project tasks as requested by the Project Manager
• Provide feedback for the Project Manager regarding progress, barriers and strategies to deliver the project
• Identify barriers to progress and suggests strategies to overcome barriers
• Maintain an appropriate knowledge of technology to ensure effective system design and implementation

Qualifications:

•Experience with Wiki collaboration tool, JIRA, Footprints

•Experience in fast paced, multi-application support environment – supporting MIS and/or HRIS software applications

•Experience working with Active Directory – creating and adding users

•Experience working in environments meeting aggressiveSLA

•Experience working in healthcare sector.

•Good understanding of change management processes

•Experience supporting different functional groups in an operations and/or infrastructure setting

•Experience supporting HRIS and Financial systems, namely Quadrant HR and MS Dynamics GP

•Experience providing technical support to healthcare organizations

•University Degree or other relevant certification or equivalent industry experience
