About the Job

Our client has a requirement for a Junior Antivirus Support Specialist for a six month contract opportunity.  The position is located in Toronto. 

Role

We’re looking for a forward thinking individual, who can identify and provide recommendation to automate any manual tasks.  Someone who is familiar with Windows Server environment and windows patching, as the legacy servers & CA, DA servers are patched by us. 

Responsibilities

Support the Symantec Anti Virus Server 10.1.x environment.

Requirements or Qualifications

Qualified Candidates must have: 

• Clear understanding of (SAV) Symantec Anti Virus Server 10.1.x environment.
• Able to install or upgrade or patch the SAV servers.
• Able to create Groups within SAV environment.
• Able to Manage exception via group policies.
• Able to retrieve and update Rapid Release definition on demand.
• Able to produce reporting via reporting server

Nice to Have:

• Symantec Scan Engine 5.2
  • Clear understanding of Symantec Scan Engine 5.2 environment.
  • Should be able to install Symantec Scan Engine upgrades.
  • Able to enable or disable devices on Demand.
  • Should be able to retrieve and update Rapid Release definition on demand.
• Symantec Enterprise Vault and Compliance Administration
  • Clear understanding of Symantec Enterprise Vault Archiving, Compliance Administration, (CA), Discovery Administration (DA) environment.
  • Able to trouble shoot backup script failures and appropriate action as needed.
  • Able to trouble shoot and fix any archiving issues.
  • Able to create custom CA searches.
  • Able to create cases for DA searches.
  • Familiar with how to add / delete Reviewers and Monitored personal.
  • Able to run Ad-hoc reports and searches.
