Job Description:
Our client has a requirement for a Senior Process Analyst for a 6 month contract opportunity. The position is located in Markham.

Role:
Reporting to the Vice President, Process Excellence, the Senior Process Analyst is accountable for assisting in the Design and Refinement of core processes, with a focus on the identification and definition of the current ‘as is’ processes, developing an understanding of the variability in how the processes are performed at the branch, Region, or department level, and preparing recommendations for process improvement and/or redesign. The Analyst will facilitate the collection of desired process outcomes from the business or process owners, and work with these groups and IT, Finance, and others to establish the appropriate process metrics going forward as changes are implemented.


Core Responsibilities:

Process Design/Development:
  • Work with the Business and key Operations Groups to define and/or refine current and target process mappings
  • Identify issues with current and proposed processes and propose recommended improvements that could alleviate issues and improve performance
  • Work with the business to troubleshoot process and quality issues with current processes as they arise

Define Process Control and Quality Measures:
  • Lead the development of new processes to support the implementation of new Shared Services and Centralized client service strategies
  • Define measures and metrics approaches that can be employed to measure process effectiveness on an ongoing basis
  • Work with other Operations staff to define a plan for continuous improvement of processes, and support process centralization planning
  • Support the company direction to move towards a Six Sigma environment
Staff Development:
  • Through presentation of work product(s) and working sessions with staff support the transfer of knowledge of process development and design
  • Act as a change agent working with Business and other Operations staff to identify approaches to improving processes and related organization change
  • Support the building of a process standardization approach to managing core activities


Requirement or Qualifications:
  • Proven experience with the design and creation of business processes; preferably in Financial Services or large organizations
  • Proven experience in the creation of and leading of process development sessions (JAD or similar) with diverse stakeholders
  • Experience in process development to support the migration of business activities from branch/department centric to centralized processing
  • Experience in large, multi-faceted operations with a mix of operations structures and applications, and variable processes – eg. Automated, manual
  • Experience in SharePoint environments an asset


Education:
  • Industry Recognized Project and/or Process Management Certification
  • University Degree
