Job Description:
Our client has a requirement for an SQL Server DBA. The position is located in Ottawa.
The contractor is required to:
Coordinate the scheduling, managing system test resources, test execution and verification of results and identify and document test cases and ensure system test coverage is complete and all required system test cases are produced.

Requirement or Qualifications:
Qualified Candidates will have:
10 years within the last 20 years experience in the primary role of a production DBA providing general DBA services, database analysis, database management including but not limited to monitoring, performance tuning and problem troubleshooting.
Rated Requirements:
- Experience as a production MS SQL-Server DBA providing DBA services such as database analysis, database management including but not limited to monitoring, performance tuning and problem troubleshooting (Minimum 6 years in the last 10 years).
- Experience with upgrading MS SQL-Server database systems from versions 2000 or 2005 to version 2008, for at least two large or ten small systems. A large system is a corporate database for a national application with more than 3000 users and 24x7 availability
