About the Job

Job Description

Our client has a requirement for 2 Senior IT Environment Specialists for a 3 month contract opportunity.  The positions are located in Mississauga.

This position is part of the Environment Management team.  The position reports to the Environment Manager.

• Supports system administrators and projects in delivering project objectives and maintaining systems
• Collects requirements, implements environment modification, and troubleshoots environment issues
• Design, implement and maintain an automated build and install/deploy process
• Demonstrate a thorough understanding of all job related functions and ensure work volumes are processed accurately and effectively on a day-to-day basis.
• Work effectively as a team, supporting other members of the team
• Coordinates with other technology work teams to ensure project success

Requirements or Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to grasp and translate technical concepts, think independently, and take the initiative required to resolve issues in a team structure
• Strong customer orientation and a professional approach with the ability to interact with all levels within the organization
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to quickly adapt to changing and competing priorities
• Experience in deploying applications in development environment
• Solid working knowledge of IBM MQ servers, Oracle / SQL servers and XML, XSL and WSDL
• Solid working knowledge - J2EE, IHS Web Server, WebSphere Application Server, SSL, SOA, Unix Shell, Pega, etc.
• Familiarity with the Web and Application Servers, Workflow infrastructure.
• Sound knowledge of business/ organization, Bank standards, infrastructure, architecture and technology in related areas from a design/ support/ solutions perspective
• Some Knowledge of application frameworks – OBA, NBA as well as host – IMS, DB2
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• College / University or equivalent work experience
