About the Job

Our client has a requirement for a Middleware SME for a six month opportunity.  The position is located in Mississauga.

Role

The successful candidate will work within the change management guidelines to install, configure, deploy, and support WESB and DataPower systems within DEV, SYS, PAT, and Production environments. The will also provide warranty period support for new application / system deployments.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for the following;

 WESB - Create WESB JVMs (Clusters with 1 member)
    1. Setup SCA Module
    2. Setup VHost Entry
    3. Setup httpd.conf
    4. Setup Environment variables
    5. Setup Object Grid properties (JVM Custom properties)
    6. Deploy application
    7. Setup IMS connection
    8. Setup J2C Authentication alias 
  • Configure test set connection
  • Setup Outbound configuration
  • Recycle application
  • Setup SIBUS messaging
  • Troubleshoot application connectivity issues (OG issues, messaging issues, application error, and data error) 
DataPower
  • Create WebService Proxy
  • Create Multi Protocol Gateway
  • Create XML Firewall
  • Update policies for MPG/WESB/XML Firewall
  • Update end point routings
  • Create front side connection (Add additional URI)
  • Update .wsdl and xslt files
  • Testing services with SOAP UI
  • Troubleshooting service issues using Probe
  • Flashing cache (Upgrading stylesheet cache)
  • Ensure MQ Connection 
 Database resource:
  • Assist troubleshooting
  • Capture traffic to AID and troubleshooting
  • Review architect’s design and determine tasks/work needed from WESB/ESB

Requirements or Qualifications

Qualified Candidates will have:
  • Demonstrated DataPower experience
  • Demonstrated ESB Services experience
  • Demonstrated XSLT experienceExcellent UNIX (AIX preferred) experience
  • Excellent Windows Server 2000 and 2003 admin experience
  • HPUX experience a definite asset.
  • IIS and Apache experience is important
  • Experience working on SOA projects
  • Ability to ask probing questions to understand the various concepts presented/discussed
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Comfortable with working in a rapidly changing, technically complex environment.
  • Ability to provide technical guidance to junior team members.
  • Some project management and negotiation experience would be an asset.
  • Thorough understanding of PMLC and SDLC processes.
  • Some after-hours\weekend and rotating pager support required
